How do I cook frozen ground beef safely?

I already started. Put about .4lbs ground beef in microwave twice at 3 minutes each, turned it over for the second time. It seemed mostly thawed. I threw a pat of er, maybe a little over a teaspoon into a pan and turned the stove on to just below medium heat. As soon as er melts, plan on throwing mostly thawed meat in pan, breaking off loose parts, cooking, watching, breaking up and cooking more and more until totally brown. I care less about perfect quality since it's just for myself. Been craving a simple burrito. Mostly concerned about safety and health. Is the way I'm cooking the ground beef safe enough that it won't make me sick? Thanks!
