Why is it be easier for me to invite my husband from Israel over to America than any other Middle East country?

My husband was born, raised and lived in Israel and I married him in Israel in 2000 and he is settled in America since 2006. But I'm very curious as my friend married a Lebanese-Jordanian man in 2004 and has been trying to get him in to the US since 2005 but she can't. It's really odd and I just feel sorry for her as she's now leaving US to live in Lebanon when she loves her home country so much to leave it. I don't want to rush to accusations but I think there's some racism or some kind of discrimination involved in it? Am I right or am I just jumping to accusations?
