A Couple of Hamster Questions!?

they like to chew because they really want out. the unsupervised kind of out. they also chew because rodents teeth keep growing and must be constantly worn down. i have never had a hammy not like the wheel but i always had the feeling it was not really a fun activity more like run like crazy then hop off and look around in hopes of being somewhere else.
