My dad in U.S army. how can i find him?

ive never met my father. im 23. he was in the united states army. his name p.v.t isidro gonzalez thts all i knw who once lived in lamont ca, by bakersfield. i wnt 2 meet him and let him knw he has a grandaughter. or @ least get the chnce 2 see him. i was wondering if theres a way 2 locate him. i heard if he was in the army everything about him is confidental. thnks for advice!
