What are the good and bad things about my poem? Where do I need work? Do I have potential?

There's a problem with punctuation and grammar that you could have put in. It makes the reader have to work to understand it when it's just a casual thing you thought to post. But the metaphor and imagery is good. Keep writing, I think you have some talent.
